Sleepovers!

Yes there had been a few sleepovers over just one week! The Girls - Rhu and Skye - have had it non-stop, although tired, they do enjoy the company of new and old friends!

First, we start off with a new friend of the Girls, Yogi!

It's the first time he's had a sleepover and he was pleasantly welcomed by the Girls and given access to all the bones!

Posing for a photo!

Enjoying some quality bones.

All a bit too much at the end of the day!

Finally a little clip of how Yogi's sleepover started!

Next up is Buster came for just a few hours!
And he was also straight into the bones!

Although he wasn't over for a sleep over, it all proved too exciting to be with the Girls and Buster, he fell asleep!

Nap time!
Even Rhu and Skye didn't want to wake him up!

Finally but all accustomed to being with the Girls, it's Winston!

More posing!
With his favourite gal!

Bruff's Bark is well experienced with having dogs over for a few hours, nights and even weeks! But we'd like to remind everyone that these run within the normal activities of Bruff's Bark, so we may be unable to provide such service during busy periods.

Bruff's Bark is Growing!

Yes, we are getting bigger and busier and with that means we need more staff!

We are currently needing new staff that have the attitude and flexibility that suits for dog training and walking! We can offer both full and part time positions.
There will be comprehensive training and all the equipment will be provided!

So if you are interested or know someone who is interested, please get in touch for more details!

All Back to Normal

The weather is back to it's unpredictable nature and all the dogs are back in routine. One thing all the dogs know is: who's got food!

Food is always greeted with great anticipation!
Using treats - mainly food - is one of the easiest way to train a dog. It's the easiest way to give the right reward for good behaviour, but it's not to be over used or you'll be finding yourself with a dog that only works for food! Starting off with treats and working into patting your dog as a reward is the best way to get a happy dog that knows where they stand.

Oscar is happy to know where his treats are.

We'd like to apologise for the lack of training in the recent weeks; health and safety is our main concern for the cancelling training as the training grounds have become quite hazardous for both clients and dogs. We are hoping the weather improves and the grounds dry up!

Bruff's Bark Search for Mikaeel Kular

Tomorrow, Hilary will be joining the volunteer search groups to aid the search for missing child, Mikaeel Kular.

Volunteers who wish to help in the search, should meet at the North Neighbourhood Office, 8 West Pilton Gardens, 10am tomorrow.

Update:

Following the recent sad news update, we hope these events never happen again.

A wet start...

The week's weather hasn't been too great, what you don't see in the photo below is the puddle of water, but hopefully it's going to get a bit better!

The Girls don't like the rain or a soaked Hilary.
But at Bruff's Bark we are on the go no matter the weather, even if our dogs aren't. We are currently back to our normal busy selves after the quiet-ish seasonal period.

Also we'd like share that there will be free dog chipping thanks to the Dogs Trust, on January 10th at 87th Craigalmond Scout Hall, so if you haven't already got your dog chipped or know someone who hasn't, get down there!

Goodbye Duke

It brings us great sadness to share the news of Duke passing on. He was an older dog with the spirit and attitude of a young one, who loved playing fetch and didn't want to stop! Unfortunately illness caught up with him and the difficult decision was made. His big grins and smiles will be missed by all.
