It's that time Again...

So it's Christmas! We hope everyone has had a great year! We wish you all a Happy New Year, whilst we put our feet up for once!

It's been another exciting year for Bruff's Bark: new dogs, new people and full of events! As usual, we hope next year is even better - hopefully the weather will make up it's mind by then!

Rhu doesn't even know when to put a hat on either!

So a big thanks to everyone for their continued support.

We'll be back in full action come 4th January.

Time seems to be flying at the moment and the festive period is just round the corner. We'll still be working hard up till our holidays through the chills, rains and maybe snow!

So to let you all know, here's our holiday dates for 2015:

December 21st to 4th January

We will be available for walks during then, if truly needed, but the price will be £17.50 per hour. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

So it's starting to get a bit Festive!

The adverts are on 24/7 and the movies are every day but a job isn't over yet, we've still got dogs to get out, even if the weather is horrible - which it has been, mostly!

World Record Breaking Dogs!

So as the weather isn't getting any better and the television is filling up with adverts, we've got something to make you smile and question!

We'll start with the Longest human tunnel travelled through by a skateboarding dog which has now been claimed by Otto the Bulldog of Peru!



How you get a bulldog skateboarding in the first place is a great mystery, but if you want to find out more about this achievement click here.

Next up, a dog who is maybe the oldest in the world! So here's Maggie at 30 years old!



Sadly, as her paper work isn't available she be given the title of the Oldest Dog but at her age she's probably just happy having a sleep and getting treats! Full story here. 

An African Adventure!

Now a few of you may remember but our hard working colleague Paul - and his family - was on a charity trip to Tanzania back in August, helping out in the Moshi Christian Children's Centre and working with the children there. We've now got the photos all developed of the great trip and a certain mascot may be present in them!

We'll start with the outside photos showing the waters, scenery and the flight

Next up foods, family and a sleepy passenger!

Here's coming the all important part, working at the centre helping with some homework and doing some crafts! Plus staying safe in the sun!

Looks like the Bruff's Bark Mascot became a bit of a celebrity with the kids!

We are all proud of Paul and his family on doing this great charity work and we hope you love the photos!

The Pug and the Pup!

So we've been out having fun with the new pup Noah, and he's been making a whole lot of new friends, first one being one of our pugs, Rudi!

Next he's made best friends with someone who's almost the same size as him - for now! - Digger!

October Sun!

Yes, we've been amazed that there is still sun in October! We are always prepared for the onslaught of windy and rainy days come this part of the year but it's still nice - oh what a delight - though getting chillier!

So let's start of with a video of two boys in the woods, Rudi and Yogi, have a good walk and getting treats!

Next up we have a new member of the Bruff's Bark Band. He only 14 weeks old; full of joy, fun and excited to see the big world, here's Noah on his first big walk with the boring Girls, Rhu and Skye!

The New "Man's Best Friend"

As we all know Dogs are Man's Best Friend and they share love with us and learn tricks for our entertainment. One trick which all of us try to teach is "fetch" but sadly it doesn't always go to plan or somehow we end playing "fetch" with ourselves as our dogs watch us in bewilderment - we know of a few Band member like this!

But here comes a new companion that puts our dogs to shame with their retrieving technique. Here's a cat playing "fetch".

Guess Who?

The puppy that stayed over 2 years ago is all grown up! Yes, Scout was back for another visit to Hotel Bruff for a week and he had some fun with the Girls.

Though like every visitor to Hotel Bruff after a good walk and play, they just take any place and fall asleep.

Next up is two blond buddies who just love to have fun and run: Bonnie and Yogi!

So looks like Summer decided to make an appearance this week - though not for long! - so we had some nice fun with our Band Members and some photos!

Yes, apologies for the lack of recent posts, we are working hard with all our dogs and dealing with paper work!

Training Notice

Due to the Summer Holidays events at the Scout Hut and minor weather issues - it's meant to be summer right? - all Training Classes have been postponed until further notice. Many apologies but we hope to have our Classes up running as soon as possible!

One to One Training Sessions are still available though so please get in contact for further information!

Craig Gowans Memorial Fund

I had the pleasure of being a small part of something huge. On Saturday the 4th July 36 young people came together to play 105 hours of football to break the Guiness World Record. Not only that they raised over 85K for the Sick Kids Hospital. I am friends with all the champs as my younger brother Euan Bruff ( 1983-2008) was at school with them or my mum taught them! 

With my best pal Neil Harkins who took part in the mega operation.

Hotel Bruff

Yes, it looks like doors are opening and closing often at Hotel Bruff with the start of summer, so let's see who has been recently!

We start off with a 2 week visit from Cara! As she's grown up with the Girls, she's right at home at Hotel Bruff.

Next up we have a big boy who hasn't been for a while but it more than welcome, it's Oscar! He's been staying for the past few days and catching up with everyone.

He has been greatly missed by the Girls but he knows how to have fun, so here is some clips of him in action, including some fun in the sun with Rudi!

But after all the fun and playing it's time for a well deserved nap and Oscar likes his naps, even if they are short!

In other news, Bruff's Bark has been enjoying the recent increase in Sun - even getting a bit of a tan/burnt - but it's important to remember that not all dogs like the heat!

Say Hello to Hank!

As we mentioned before we have a new member of the Bruff's Bark Band and here he is...

This is Hank, he's a little Chihuahua cross Jack Russell Terrier, as you can see he's full of energy and like a good roam about the big, big world! Be sure to look out for more of Hank when we get him meeting some new pals!

New Staff!

Many apologies for the lack of posts recently, we - and our dogs - have been working hard at the moment checking out CV's and interviewing new potential staff as we are currently expanding. We are making sure that any new staff that join us are fully trained and well experienced with our dogs before we let them take them out on their own.

In other news we have a new Bruff's Bark Member which we will be sharing with you soon!

Finally, just a little notice to all that come to Training, there will be no classes this Saturday 30th May due to a party!

Summer is Coming...

So the heat is turning up though still some rainy days as per usual but we are getting into the summer groove and we love nothing than chilling like all but this bulldog takes it to the next level, enjoy!

A Birthday Boy!

We can't believe how fast time has passed since we were celebrating his first birthday and now we have just celebrated Rudi's second birthday and here's some photos from the day!

He's grown up and started drinking!

One can isn't enough to celebrate a birthday!

But there is one thing that all birthday boys love and that's Ice Cream!

Aside from the celebrations, we have a new member for yous to meet! Here's Sorcha, a lovely red labrador!
